Quin Building Solutions is a licensed general building contractor based in South San Francisco, owned and run by Misael Quinteros. He has worked in building maintenance since 2000, and in 2025 he took out his own California contractor’s license so he could run projects under his own name. The company is built around the parts of the business he watched being done badly everywhere he had worked.
For more than twenty years his job was to be the person they called. He maintained large properties across the Peninsula, some of them buildings of four hundred units, where something is always failing somewhere. A breaker trips. A line backs up in a unit nobody has opened in a week. Somebody has no hot water on a Sunday.
He was also, routinely, the person they blamed. In a building that size it rarely mattered who had actually run the wiring or who had last touched the plumbing. The complaint landed on whoever picked up the phone, and he was the one who picked up, sometimes at midnight, to go fix something that had been installed wrong years earlier by someone who was never coming back.
That is the reason this company works the way it does. Misael walks the property, writes the estimate, plans the sequence, and is on site while the work happens. He spent two decades seeing what a building looks like when nobody does that, and he is not willing to hand a client the same experience.

Misael is the person who comes to your walkthrough, writes your estimate, plans the sequence of the work, and is on the property while it happens to confirm each stage is right before the next one begins. The specialty trades on a project are licensed in their own right: the electricians, plumbers, and painters who work with us hold their own California licenses. Demolition, hauling, and the general labor a remodel runs on are handled by his own crew under license 1159078, which makes that work his responsibility and nobody else’s.
That structure exists for one reason. Most complaints homeowners have about contractors have nothing to do with skill. They are about a job that started three days late with no phone call, a price that grew after the deposit cleared, or work that was clearly done by someone the salesman never checked on. Every one of those is a supervision failure, so supervision is the thing we refuse to treat as optional.
